Come in ogni stagione, subito dopo aver salutato il nuovo anno amiamo voltarci indietro e stilare la nostra personalissima classifica dei 10 migliori album.
Il 2011 non è stata un’annata memorabile, ad dire il vero. Certo abbiamo visto la pubblicazione di album ottimi, ma nessuno dei 10 che abbiamo scelto entrerà nella storia o, meglio ancora, la cambierà. Non accusateci di essere troppo legati al passato, ma provate a pensare ad esempio al 1991, vent’anni fa. Un anno memorabile con uscite quali ten del Pearl jam, nevermind dei nirvana, blood sugar sex magic dei Red Hot Chili Peppers, screamadelica dei Primal Scream, solo per citarne alcuni.
Ecco, nel 2011 non c’è nessun album come Screamadelica ma soltanto ottime uscite discografiche. Ottime ma non, come direbbero oltre manica, out standing. Nel fare una top 10 infine si scontenta sempre qualcuno, è inevitabile. Già lo sappiamo che abbiamo dovuto lasciare fuori Bon Iver, Florence + the machine, beirut, i Kasabian, Zola Jesus, i Battle, i Girls, tutti ottimi dischi.
Eccovi il nostro countdown, un po’ tutto d’un fiato, come l’aspirina. Siamo sicuri che farà altrettanto bene….

Noi però oggi vogliamo spegnere tutto e togliere pure la spina. Vogliamo trasmettere solamente suoni prodotti senza l’aiuto della corrente, almeno nella fase di output, dato che in qualche modo sono stati successivamente registrati.
Lo abbiamo già fatto nelle scorse stagioni ed abbiamo notato che ai nostri ascoltatori piace, forse per quel gusto di ascoltare qualcosa di diverso dal solito, oppure forse semplicemente delle “alternative versions”.
In realtà si conclude oggi un trittico di puntate a contenuto entropico inverso, un decrescendo di energia, dal digitalismo abbiamo tolto qualcosa e c’è stato l’electrismo. Ora giriamo l’interruttore del tutto ed ecco quello che abbiamo definito con una acrobazia verbale ….acoustismo.
Hello and welcome to indiebar, would say a Jeremy Clarkson, the anchormen of a british TV show for petrolheads. But we now want to turn the engines off and remove the plugs. We want to broadcast only sounds generated without the help of the power, at least in the output, given that in some way were then recorded.
We have done that in the past seasons and we noticed that our listeners like it, perhaps for the sake of hearing something unusual, or perhaps simply “alternative versions”.
Actually ends today a triptych of shows with a reverse of entropy, a decreasing energy consumption, we take something away from digitalismo and there was the electrismo. Now we turn the switch off and here is what we have named, not without a certain verbal acrobatics …. Acoustismo.

Eccoci alla terza puntata della sesta stagione di indiebar.
Con la scorsa puntata abbiamo cominciato un trittico di ascolti guidati che vede oggi il secondo capitolo.
Ci siamo già lamentati in passato del fatto che la musica elettronica stia avendo un certo sopravvento, forse anche presso le testate più influenti della musica indie e alternative, quali ad esempio NME e Pitchfork.
In realtà vengono ancora prodotti degli ottimi album di musica “tradizionale”, dei quali vi faremo ascoltare alcuni esempi.
Non c’è quindi solo musica elettronica in giro, ma anche ottima musica …elettrica.
Quindi, dopo il digitalismo ecco a voi l’electrismo.
Here is the third episode of season six of indiebar.
With the last episode we began a trilogy of shows that led today sees the second chapter.
We’ve complained in the past the fact that electronic music is taking over, perhaps even at the most influential publications of the indie and alternative music, such as NME and Pitchfork.

Scegliendo i brani della scaletta odierna ad un certo punto, quasi alla fine, ci siamo accorti che avevamo selezionato solo musica elettronica o comunque con un forte impatto digitale rispetto alle sonorità elettriche, per intenderci le classiche voce_chitarra_basso_batteria. E ci è venuto in mente un titolone degli anni novanta di una rivista spagnola di musica indipendente, che oggi non esiste più. Si chiamava “La Herentia De Los Munster” ed aveva un titolone che recitava: EL DIGITALISMO SE IMPONDRA’ in pratica la musica digitale si imporrà.
A dire il vero è da un po’ di tempo che sosteniamo che manchi un bel disco rock travolgente, ad esempio un Siamese Dreams o un Doolittle. Quasi come se la vena si fosse un po’ esaurita. La musica elettronica invece trova nelle possibilità tecnologiche di software e hardware sempre più sofisticati ma di facile impiego, nuovi orizzonti musicali.
Vi facciamo un esempio banale banale. La sigla e tutti i gingle che sentite in questa trasmissione sono stati composti con un iPad durante un viaggio in treno. As simple as that.
Con oggi comincia una trilogia di puntate suddivise in categoria di sonorità: ecco a voi il DIGITALISMO.
Choosing the songs of today’s lineup at some point, near the end, we realized that we have selected only electronic music or sample based one, instead of classic voice_guitar_bass_drums.. And it came us in mind a cover title of the nineties of a Spanish magazine of independent music, which no longer exists. It was called “The Herentia De Los Munster” and had a headline like: EL DIGITALISMO SE IMPONDRA’ which means digital music will prevail.
Actually it is a bit ‘of time that a good rock record overwhelming has been released, such as Siamese Dreams or Doolittle. Almost as if the vein had a worn out. Electronic music finds always new horizons, due to technological tools, or hardware and software, always more sophisticated but user frendly.
For instance the title track and all the jingles you hear in this podcastcast were composed with an iPad during a train journey. As simple as that.
